FILM: I'm Still Here Trailer Released
Thursday , 19 Aug 2010The long awaited first trailer for I'm Still Here the documentary about 'the lost year' in the life of Joaquin Phoenix, is now online.
In October 2008, the two-time Oscar nominee and 'Walk the Line' star surprised the movie world by announcing he was retiring from acting. Weeks later he emerged bearded and spacey to announce he planned to pursue a career as a hip-hop artist.
Shot by Casey Affleck (who happens to be Phoenix's brother-in-law), in his directorial debut, the film follows Phoenix as he announces his decision to retire from acting and his subsequent attempts to live a rapper's life. Hijinks include growing a grizzly man beard, pulling his now infamous space cadet act on the Late Show with David Letterman, working with Diddy and according to buyers who have seen the film, snorting lots of cocaine and ordering call girls.
Despite the shocking subject check out the I'm Still Here trailer and decide for yourself whether the whole thing is a crazy joke or if Phoenix really has, in fact, gone insane.
Either way we are sure to be lining up for this one.
[Update] This film has been confired as a hoax.
