FILM: Trailer For The Next Three Days

Monday , 16 Aug 2010

If you’ve been wondering what Russell Crowe has been up to since his turn as Robin Hood, then wait no longer. The first trailer for his latest action/thriller, The Next Three Days, written and directed by Paul Haggis (Crash, In the Valley of Elah) is now online.

Life seems perfect for John Brennan until his wife, Lara, is arrested for a gruesome murder she says she didn’t commit. Three years into her sentence, John is struggling to hold his family together, raising their son and teaching at college while he pursues every means available to prove her innocence. With the rejection of their final appeal, Lara becomes suicidal and John decides there is only one possible, bearable solution: to break his wife out of prison. Refusing to be deterred by impossible odds or his own inexperience, John devises an elaborate escape plot and plunges into a dangerous and unfamiliar world, ultimately risking everything for the woman he loves.

Of course, no plan is foolproof and when you’re hero apparently doesn’t know “where the bullets go” in a gun, we’re sure things are not going to go to plan exactly as they are intended.
The cast for this film certainly contains some substantial appeal. It's nice to see Elizabeth Banks given the opportunity to branch out from the comedy/slapstick genre we're used to seeing her in. Liam Neeson takes the role of the ex-con who helps Crowe's character plus Olivia Wilde, Jonathan Tucker, Brian Dennehy, RZA and Sean Huze also land roles in this crime thriller.

If you too got sucked into the excitement of Prison Break (well at least the first 2 seasons) and the action thrills of films like The Fugitive and Taken I'm sure the premise for The Next Three Days will get you pretty excited.

Check out the trailer here and let us know what you think?
