Each decade has had a distinct rock identity, often more than one, and the early '90s was an amalgam of a lot of things that had come before. Heavy licks and psychedelic jams, mid-length to long hair, nudity, the odd bit of cross-dressing, songs about disaffected youth, peace, fucking and aliens.
