Line Up

John Egenes: A part of the strong legacy handed down by the songwriters of the American Southwest. From Santa Fe, New Mexico, he has spent his years on the road and in the studio backing some of the best representatives of the craft.

An excellent guitar player and multi-instrumentalist, Egenes is also a talented songwriter, penning songs that are at once approachable, literate, and smart.

Hana Fahy: A delightful Dunedin songstress, releasing her debut EP “World Still Turns” in 2009. This Rusty Strings Session will allow Hana to showcase her accomplished vocal and piano chops accompanied by multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and The Chills’ violinist Erica Stitchbury.

Julian Temple: San Francisco to the Deep South of New Zealand, Julian Temple’s wild ride through life is expressed through his music: three albums and a string of EPs...7 years...lots of touring. The latest album “Balance Escapes” was released October the 8th, 2010. A consistently entertaining performer and gifted songwriter, Temple will thrive in the Rusty Strings acoustic setting.

Rob and Tahu: A recently formed duo consisting of pianist/guitarist Robin Cederman and Skybus frontwomen Tahu Mackenzie.
