INTERVIEW: DJ Sir-Vere Editor Of Rip It Up
Friday , 23 Jul 2010Matt Hicks of Sounzgood popped into Auckland's Satellite Media to have a chat with former C4 host, nz hip-hop pioneer, Mai FM radio announcer and current editor of Rip It Up Magazine Phil Bell a.k.a DJ Sir-Vere.
We talk about his long and distinguished career in TV, radio, print and of course music aswell as his thoughts on a range of musical issues including the state of NZ hip hop, the evolution of music and whom he rates as some upcoming talents in the NZ hip hop scene. We also chat about what it takes to put together a bi monthly magazine; what ever happened to the holla hour on C4 and when/if a new Major flavours album will be out.
