NEWS: Live Coverage Of The 69th Golden Globe Awards
Thursday , 13 Jan 2011
Pop the corn and get comfy, because this Monday Rip It Up is live-blogging the Golden Globes. Join Rip It Up editor Leonie Hayden, online editor Luke Winslade, and our TV and film writers Steve Newall and Daniel Rutledge as they gleefully rub their hands together over what is sure to be Ricky Gervais' finest hour yet.
Snacks and beer? Check. Deflated Hollywood egos? Double check. Gervais has said of last year's ceremony:
“I made a decision last year that I shouldn’t be doing it for the 20 egos in the room, I should be doing it for the 200 million people watching at home and I’m going to do that this year. I’m not beholden to those people in the room so I can say exactly what I want. So, I’d say to people in the room, be afraid.”
“I don't think anyone had any right to be offended (last year) but they were” says Gervais. “This year I'm going to make sure their offence is completely justified.”
Rip It Up will be following Vibe's live coverage on Sky TV so watch along with us and don't forget to have your say by commenting and answering questions.
