NEWS: Adam Lambert Accused Of Assault

Adam Lambert has reportedly lashed out at a paparazzi outside a South Beach hotel in Miami.

According to TMZ, a Miami paparazzo filed a claim with police yesterday that accused the "American Idol" season 8 runner-up of assault or as whats described as 'misdemeanor battery' in the US. The police report obtained by TMZ says that Lambert allegedly grabbed the photographer's book bag, where the camera was located, and "forcefully" wrestled the man to the ground.

However, pictures of the incident show that the camera was in the paparazzo's hand while Lambert is digging into his bag.

The State Attorney's office will review the police report and make a decision regarding charges. If charged and found guilty, the "For Your Entertainment" singer could face up to a year in jail and a $1,400 fine.

Lambert has since taken to twitter to comment on the claim, saying "Battery? Nope. I attempted to grab a camera, no punches were thrown and no one was on the ground.... It was literally harmless. If embarrassment is a crime - that's all I'm guilty of."

Adam Lambert will be bringing his Glam Nation Tour To New Zealand for one Auckland show later this year.
