NEWS: Big Day Out 2012 Second Announcement

We are stoked with the full line up of acts coming to the 2012 Big Day Out - but unfortunately this second announcement brings some massive changes. There will now only be one main stage (not two) and Kanye West and Odd Future will not be appearing at the Auckland Big Day out.

The second announcement of acts for Auckland is: 
Noel Gallagher's HighFlying Birds, Nero (Live), The Vaccines, Bassnectar, Cavalera, Conspiracy, Regurgitator, Kimbra, Parkway Drive, Midnight Youth, Das Racist, Six60, Mt Eden, The Adults, I Am Giant, Cairo Knife Fight, Jakob, Bulletproof, Junica, @Peace, DJ Sir-Vere and Nick D.

The Big Day Out says: For our 20th year we have chosen to rebuild the Auckland event from the ground up, with a goal to recapturing the magic of early Big Day Out shows. We are excited the bands are into the idea and we know you will be too. One main stage, no D barricade, Skating & Skate stage in the main arena, Green stage, Boiler Room, Show ‘N’ Shine hot rod show brought to you by OnePercent magazine and much, much more! Plus it’s now a little cheaper than the East Coast Australian Shows, with booking fees included. However, the need to reduce from two to one main stage means a couple of acts from the first announcement will not be able to perform at the Auckland Big Day Out. Unfortunately Kanye West and Odd Future will not be appearing at the Auckland event and we thank them for their help, support and understanding in this change of plans.
