Pop-punk outfit Blink-182 have a deadline of July 31st by their record label to finish their new album.

After reuniting in 2009, the 3 piece band is still writing new material for their upcoming 6th studio release, and their first effort since their 2003 self-titled record.

Signer and guitarist, Tom DeLonge, has stated that “We thought we were closing in on the end, and literally a week ago we pumped out a whole set of stuff that I think will be some of the best on the album".

The band say they are going to “use every single day” they have left before the deadline to finish the record.

Drummer, Travis Barker, has also stated that they will be performing new material at Blink-182’s upcoming tour dates with My Chemical Romance.
