NEWS: Bring Me The Horizon Drummer Suffers Broken Hand
Wednesday , 04 May 2011
Matt Nicholls, drummer for English hardcore giants Bring Me The Horizon, has suffered a broken hand in the midst of their current tour of the UK, said to be their biggest headlining tout to date.
During a football game with members of Australian metallers Parkway Drive and fellow Englishmen Architects, the BMTH drummer took to goalkeeping. Attempting a save, Nicholls’ hand was clipped by Parkway Drive frontman, Winston McCall's foot. Posting on the bands Facebook page Nichols had the following statement.
“I have to see a specialist in Sheffield to see if I need surgery or not but I'm not gonna be picking up drum sticks for about 6 weeks. It was an accident and you know, shit happens but I'll tell you now, it's the last time I wear gardening gloves in the net!”.
Although Nicholls is unable to drum, the tour will go ahead as planned with Dan Searle from Architects taking up the position of BMTH’s temporary drummer.
