NEWS: Bring Me The Horizon To Explore Post-Rock On New Album

Tuesday , 07 Feb 2012

English metallers Bring Me The Horizon have announced their fourth studio album will be heavily influenced by post-rock bands such as Explosions in the Sky and This Will Destroy You.

The band are likely to head into the studio to record their follow up to 2010’s There is a Hell, Believe me I’ve seen it. There is a Heaven, Let’s Keep it a Secret, mid-year (English summer time), with guitarist Jona Weinhofen announcing that he and fellow guitarist Lee Malia have been getting inspired by listening to post-rock music.

Speaking to Alternative Press, Weinhofen explained the group's latest inspiration.

"Lee and I are listening to a lot of post-rock lately. It might sound strange, but we listen to this laid-back, epic music and think 'If this was heavy - if we made metal out of this kind of music - it would be exactly what we want to sound like".
