NEWS: Coldplay Release Second Single + Reveal Duet With Rihanna
Tuesday , 13 Sep 2011
Coldplay have released the second single from their upcoming fifth studio record Mylo Xyloto. The track titled 'Paradise' is yet another natural stadium anthem from the British lads.
When it comes to Coldplay you generally either love them or hate them but one thing you can bank on is that with every song seems destined for the biggest arenas in the world and 'Paradise' is no different. As a whole we're feeling this song a lot more than first single 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall'. Listen to 'Paradise' below and tell us what you think.
Chris Martin has also revealed a duet with Rihanna will feature on the new record. The RnB superstar features on a track called 'Princess Of China'. Speaking about the duet Martin had the following to say.
"The album is designed as a whole piece. It has boy and girl lead characters and top of our list for the girl part was Rihanna, but it took a while to pluck up the courage to ask her. We did a show in Las Vegas and I met her and said, 'Do you think there's any chance?' I was very Hugh Grant-like and spluttering about it."
"She has such an amazing voice and it's so different to mine. When the vocal happened I thought 'Wow, you sound different' but I think that's also because she was singing a different song to what we are used to hearing from her and it is written by a bloke from Devon."
Coldplay's fifth studio album called Mylo Xyloto will be released on October 24th 2011. See below for a full tracklist of the record.
