NEWS: Cut Copy Announce New Album

Wednesday , 03 Nov 2010

Cut Copy have announced their new album 'Zonoscope' to be released on 8th February 2010.

The band recorded the album in Melbourne afterlocking themselves away in an old warehouse to work on it reports spin.com.

The follow-up 2008's 'In Ghost Colours', the album artwork features an image by late Japanese photo montage artist Tsunehisa Kimura.

Tim Hoey said "There was no internet in there. Barely any heat, nothing, just fucking industrial Melbourne. We just knew we could kind of go into there and not feel pressured."

"We were just kind of locked in there by ourselves," he continued. "And we couldn't have had it sounding how it sounds without us going in there."

The band added that they are currently figuring out how to take 'Zonoscope' on the road.

"We've created this new world with the record," he explained. "And we certainly want the new live show to represent that, to take it into new territory."
