NEWS: Cut Off Your Hands Announce NZ Shows In June
Tuesday , 31 May 2011Having already announced that they will be playing at Australia’s 2011 Splendor in the Grass Festival, Cut Off Your Hands have announced that they will be returning home to play two shows in June. Cut Off Your Hands will be playing at the King’s Arms in Auckland on the 24th of June and Wellington’s San Francisco Bath House on the 25th of June.
The shows comes in support of the band’s newly released single 'You Should Do Better', which is taken from their sophomore album Hollow - due for release this July through Speak n Spell/Frequency Media Group. Listen to 'You Should Do Better' below.
On Hollow, the band have dispensed with the angular aggression of their post-punk debut and in place have set about redefining their sound. With a penchant for charming melody and heavy laden baritone guitars, Cut Off Your Hands draw from great antipodean pop purveyors, from The Go-Betweens to The Triffids and The Church, with a touch of Flying Nun thrown in for good measure.
These shows are sure to sell out so best be in quick!
