NEWS: Damon Albarn Reveals New Band Rocketjuice & The Moon

Blur and Gorillaz front man Damon Albarn has unveiled the name of his new band, which features himself, Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Tony Allen from The Good, The Bad & The Queen.

The band has been named Rocketjuice and the Moon and are set to play their first live show this weekend in London.

Albarn has revealed that the band didn’t come up with the name, stating “Someone in Lagos did the sleeve design and that’s the name he gave it, which suits me because trying to find a name for another band is always tricky.”

It has also been confirmed that the debut record from Rocketjuice and the Moon will be released in 2012 and will be self titled.
