NEWS: Dark Knight Rises Composer Dedicates New Song To Aurora Shooting Victims

Hans Zimmer, the man behind some of Hollywood's most famous cinema soundtracks (The Lion King, The Thin Red Line, Gladiator) and most notably Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises score has released a new song entitled 'Aurora' as tribute to the families of the victims in the recent Aurora, Colorado cinema shooting.
Speaking on his Facebook page Zimmer explained the eight and a half minute song, saying: "Aurora is dedicated to those who lost their lives and were affected by the tragedy in Aurora, Colorado. I recorded this song in London... as a heartfelt tribute."
The song was recorded after 24 year old James Holmes entered a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises and opened fire in the cinema, killing 12 and injuring 58.
'Aurora' is out now and buyers are asked for donations of anywhere between 10US cents and $2500, with all proceeds going to the Aurora Victim Relief organization.
