NEWS: Dr. Dre Promises New Music For Christmas

After years of waiting for a new Dr. Dre album 'Detox', Dre has announced that fans might hear the new material as early as Christmas!

At a press conference to promote his Beats by Dre headphones, the rapper/producer announced "In a perfect world, you know, I'm really trying to make Christmas, but we'll see... Something will definitely be out." Although he didn't specify whether or not that new "music" would be the album Detox.

Fans will be happy to hear though that he has been working flat out lately telling the crowd "I'm working on it every day." Interscope Charirman Jimmy Lovine - who also heads Dre's record label 'Aftermath Entertainment' - also hyped the record, "He just played something for us back there. He's got two new songs that are just incredible."

Despite the huge workload producing 'Detox', Dre is also working on a concept album about planets, saying the tracks are his "interpretation of what each planet sounds like."
