El Schlong are coming back home to New Zealand after spending the past 2 years in London. They will record their next album in Wellington before moving to Berlin in September. They will be spending 3 weeks in Wellington recording, and will also be playing one off shows in Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin.

The band formed in Dunedin in 2003, moved to Wellington in 2005, and again to London in 2008. They won the Otago/Southland Battle of the Bands in 2004 and won the best guitarist award both there, and at the National final in Auckland. El Schlong self-released an EP in 2005, and their debut album “The Baddies Are Coming” in 2008. The fully animated video clip for the album’s title track recently won second place in the Handle the Jandle Awards. Both of the El Schlong album and video clip are getting regular airplay on radio and TV all around the world.

  • The Dogs Bollix, Auckland with Cripple Mr Onion and Resporn on Saturday 21st August
  • Medusa, Wellington with No Love Lost, Elephant of the Ocean and Kobosh on Saturday 4th September
  • Refuel, Dunedin with Black Mesa, Soulseller and Ignite the Helix on Friday 10th of September
