NEWS: First Full Trailer For JJ Abrams' Super 8 Has Arrived

After months of anticipation, Paramount Pictures has finally released a full length trailer for the extremely mysterious new Steven Spielberg-produced, JJ Abrams-directed sci-fi film, Super 8. After months of secrets and a couple of teaser trailers we now have not only the first official trailer but the official synopsis for the film as well.

Official Synopsis
In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

Super 8 definitely has that vintage sci-fi vibe reminicent of early Speilberg films like E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Partnering that up with Abrams and his knack for creating intense mystery (Cloverfield, LOST), really does make Super 8 one of the most anticipated films of 2011. If there was a scale of 1 - 10 on how excited we are for this film, with 1 being mildly interest and 10 being insanely over-the-top excited, we would safely put it down as an 11.

Super 8 is out June 9 and stars Kyle Chandler, Elle Fanning, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, Gabriel Basso and AJ Michalka.
