NEWS: Foo Fighters To Play In Auckland Next Week

The Foo Fighters have announced they are coming to New Zealand next week for a one-off charity show for Christchurch.

In what is set to be quite an intimate affair, the rock legends will play Aucklands Town Hall on Tuesday March 22nd. Tickets will be on sale from Friday through the-edge.co.nz for between $175 and $250 with all proceeds raised on the night going to the CHCH Earthquake Relief Fund.

Todays announcement follows on from a video message front man Dave Grohl sent to The Edge two weeks ago. In the message Grohl says, "We're wishing everyone in Christchurch our hopes and prayers, we're thinking about you around the world. "We hope that we can see you soon, and do what we can to bring a little bit of happiness back in to your lives."

The Foo Fighters will visit Auckland after the Australian leg of their tour for their new album, Wasting Light due out April 12.  First single 'Rope' is out now.
