NEWS: Green Day Announce Live Album
Wednesday , 01 Sep 2010Green Day have revealed they are working on a live album to commemorate all the touring they've done for their latest album, 21st Century Breakdown. The still-untitled album will be the band's second live release after 2005's "Bullet in a Bible."
You can view a fan shot video of the band performing a previously unreleased song entitled "Cigarrettes And Valentines" from a recent concert in Denver (which the band apparently recorded for their upcoming release) below.
The song, 'Cigarettes and Valentines,' was originally slated to be the title track of Green Day's follow-up to 2000's 'Warning' album. The band was close to completing the record, which would have featured a return to their earlier punk sound but the master tapes were stolen. Rather than redo their work, the band scrapped the material and returned to the studio to record 'American Idiot.'
