NEWS: J-Lo & Steven Tyler New American Idol Judges

After months of speculation Fox has finally announced that singer/actor Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler will be the new judges for American Idol season 10. American Idol has been the number one rating show in the U.S for six consecutive years now.

Fox were looking for new judges after show veteran Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres left after season 9 which had a slide in ratings. Lopez and Tyler will join the only original judge left Randy Jackson.

During the oversized press conference which was broadcasted as a mini show online, J-Lo said that she was "looking for the next Michael Jackson," there have also been reports that she has been paid a whopping $12 million for the role.

American Idol Season 10 is expected to air January 2011.
