NEWS: Javier Bardem Confirmed For Bond 23
Monday , 11 Jul 2011
Javier Bardem has been cast as a villain in upcoming movie Bond 23. The Spanish actor joins Daniel Craig (in his 3rd outing as 007), Dame Judi Dench and Naomie Harris for the next installment of the cult franchise.
Javier, who is famous for his roles in No Country For Old Men and Eat Pray Love, has signed on to be the main bad guy in the spy movie.
British filmmaker Sam Mendes will direct the film, with Harry Potter star Ralph Fiennes is also reportedly confirmed for a role in Bond 23. The Hollywood star, who plays evil wizard Lord Voldemort, is said to be portraying a “darkly complex” character.
Like all Bond movies one of the main roles to be cast is that of the artist/musicians tasked with writing the films signature song. Troubled star Amy Winehouse and fellow British songstress Adele are both said to be in the running to sing the new Bond theme tune. Bond composer David Arnold originally wanted Winehouse to perform the theme song for the last film, but Amy had to pull out due to her on going personal issues.
Bond 23 is scheduled to start filming later in the year and is expected to be in cinemas by October 2012.
