NEWS: Jay-Z To Support U2 In New Zealand

The world's highest-earning Hip Hop artist is now set to join the world's highest-earning band at their November 25th concert at Mt Smart Stadium.

Live Nation Global Touring and Michael Coppel have today confirmed that Jay-Z will be joining U2 as the very special guest for dates in New Zealand and Australia. The U2 360° Tour will visit Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth.

With hits such as 99 Problems, Empire State of Mind and Dirt Off Your Shoulder, and ten Grammy awards, Jay-Z is one of the most successful artists of all time. His last record Blueprint 3 was one of the biggest selling records of 2010, and was Jay-Z’s 11th Number 1 album - putting him ahead of Elvis for most Number 1 albums by any solo artist. Jay-Z last played Australia in 2006 and he has never played in New Zealand.

U2 and Jay-Z performed Sunday Bloody Sunday in front of Brandenburg Gate, Berlin in November 2009.

The Official Roc-A-Fella After Party

For the first time ever in New Zealand, the Roc A Fella Team- Jay Z, Memphis Bleek, Roc Boys and Young Guru touch our grounds, performing at Mt Smart, Auckland on the 25th & 26th of November to support for the heavy hitters rock band U2.

After the concert on Thursday 25th Roc A Fella are throwing an after party, New York style with the Roc A Fella Team at Studio-The Venue on Karangahape Rd, (K Rd) Auckland on the Thursday 25th of November straight after the show. For only $20 we get to party with the Hip Hop icon’s with also a full live 45min set by Memphis Bleek and Young Guru on the decks afterwards playing all the good classics with The Roc Boys hosting the night. More to be added to the lineup of a huge night of mayhem.
