NEWS: Katy Perry Vs Lady Gaga In The MTV Europe Video Awards

The nominations for the MTV Europe Video Award's have been announced and it seems Lady Gaga and Katy Perry will battle head to head with five nominations each.

The two popstars will fight it out between each other in the Best Pop, Best Female and Best Song categories.

Best Song prize will be a competition between Perry's California Gurls, Gaga's Bad Romance and Usher's OMG, while Rihanna features twice with her Eminem collaboration Love The Way You Lie and her single Rude Boy.

The host for the event has yet to be announced, although Perry and Linkin Park have been confirmed as acts. The awards will take place November 7 in Madrid, Spain.
