NEWS: Kings Of Leon Talk About Record Sales
Monday , 23 Aug 2010
Kings Of Leon frontman Caleb Followill refuses to obsess over sales of the band's next album because the rockers are so "rich", they don't need the money.
The singer admits the band has taken a few creative risks with their upcoming fifth release, Come Around Sundown, following the global success of 2008's Only By The Night.
But Followill is more interested in creating good music than adding to his piles of cash.
He explains, "We're already plenty rich, we don't need it. We're like thousand-aires, multiple thousands, multiple. This record has got a little bit of every record we've ever made to this point.
"All the people that only know us from the last record - which is quite a few people - we wanted to show them a little bit of our background and the kind of music that we've been trying to make all the while."
