NEWS: Klaxons Release Studio Cuts For Festive Free Download
Thursday , 23 Dec 2010It's not just the New Zealand music industry getting into the Christmas spirit with free music downloads this year.
British electro outfit Klaxons are also set to release a free five-track EP on Christmas Day. The new EP, titled 'Landmarks of Lunacy' will feature unreleased material recorded during early sessions for the band's second album 'Surfing The Void'.
The free download will become available on December 25 from the Klaxons official website Klaxons.net. It was recorded with James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco, who produced their debut album 'Myths Of The Near Future', at the Black Box studio in Nantes in 2008.
Klaxons said "There are periods of time that we have spent together as a band that the only suitable word that comes close to describing them is 'magical'. The three nocturnal weeks spent at Black Box studio in 2008 under the loving guidance of James Ford was undeniably the point where the magic was peaking."
