NEWS: MJ's Mum Sues Promoter Behind The O2 Gigs

Friday , 17 Sep 2010

Michael Jackson was scheduled to play the mammoth run of 'This Is It' dates at the O2 Arena, when he died last year (June 25).

Now, over a year later, Michael Jackson's mother is suing the promoter behind his proposed 50-date residency in London.

Katherine Jackson has started legal proceedings against AEG, claiming the company did not provide adequate medical care for her son, contending that it did not provide a doctor and life-saving equipment for the singer, who was rehearsing for the shows at the time of his death.

The civil action, filed at Los Angeles Superior Court, seeks unspecified damages from AEG, reports BBC News.

The concert promoter has yet to comment on the legal action.
