NEWS: Pete Doherty Released From Prison For Upcoming Festivals

British music personality Pete Doherty is expected to be released from prison in time for the Reading and Leeds Festivals.

In March he pleaded guilty to cocaine possession after being caught last October. Last Friday (20th May) he was sentenced to six months imprisonment. Although he has been given a likely release date of August 21st, five days before he is due to headline the Festival Republic stage at Leeds Festival.

He is also due to the play the Reading Festival two days later.

A Reading And Leeds Festivals spokesperson told a source that they had no comment to make.
