Wednesday , 20 Jul 2011

PNAU
is set to release their long-awaited fourth album Soft Universe. The Australian electro-pop powerhouse duo of Peter Mayes and Nick Littlemore have crafted the album as a traditional pop record. Bearing the influence of Littlemore's other band Empire Of The Sun, and also Bowie, Bono, Burt Bacharach and PNAU’s new mentor Elton John.

The band hooked up with Elton John when he discovered their music while in Australia. The duo sang for him in his hotel room and then had a cup of tea and chatted, which is a very pleasant way to start a professional relationship.

Soft Universe’s first two singles, ‘The Truth’ and ‘Solid Ground’, have already given fans a look at what’s in store for them when the album is released on August 1st.

Watch the music video for 'Solid Ground' below.
