NEWS: Radiohead Allude To Mystery Broadcast From Tokyo

Friday , 18 Feb 2011

Radiohead are keeping fans guessing as to their next move by tweeted details of a mysterious time and location in Tokyo ahead of the release of their new album on Saturday.

The band posted the message in Japanese on their official Twitter page. The message reads "渋谷 ハチ公広場 金曜日 18時59分". A rough translation of this is "Hachiko Square Shibuya, 59 minutes at 18 Friday". The square is one of the notoriously busy 'pedestrian roads' in Tokyo.

After posting this tweet, fans started speculating that the band may appear at the square. Shortly afterwards the bands spokesman told NME.com that "The band will not be in Japan so people should not go to Shibuya expecting to see the band in person,".

Hachiko Square boasts huge screens overlooking it, making some kind of broadcast there from the band a possibility.

Their new album 'The King Of Limbs' is available for download from the King Of The Limbs website from Saturday. A website in Japan has leaked that the album will feature eight songs, although the band have said that they will not release official tracklisting details ahead of its release.
