Cairo Knife Fight take the coveted Wellington support slot for the upcoming Shihad album shows.

Cairo Knife Fight is the dangerous twosome Nick Gaffaney, a man who has drummed his way around the place for many of our leading songwriters, and Aaron Tokona, the founder and front man of iconic rock group Weta. Spitting on the rock band rule book, it’s the drummer stepping out of the shadows to lead. In the Christchurch and Auckland slots is The Heavy Metal Ninjas. They are a heavy instrumental band fresh to the scene, but some members should be very familiar to their fans. The Heavy Metal Ninjas are Richie Allan on lead guitar, Minor 5th (Stu Kora) on rhythm and backing solo guitar, Joe Brownless on drums, Fran Kora on bass guitar and Quasar (Laughton Kora) on Rhythm/stunt guitar and keys.
