NEWS: Shihad Unveil Ignite Album Artwork
Thursday , 19 Aug 2010Shihad have unveiled their new artwork for their forthcoming album Ignite set for release on Monday 20 September.

Its fitting that Shihad’s eighth studio album should be called Ignite. Since the very beginning Shihad’s music has been both the bands’ livelihood & lifeblood, positively infused with their unwavering enthusiasm and excitement. And as the band celebrate this satisfying stage of their career, they show no signs of cooling off.
Releasing 20th September, Ignite is a fitting tribute to all that has gone and is yet to come. Over the past 22 years, Shihad have chalked up countless enviable milestones: They’ve toured the world, supported their musical heroes AC/DC, had three #1 albums and hold the record for the most Top40 Single chart appearances for a New Zealand artist.
Ignite is Shihad’s eighth studio album in a rich lineage of critically acclaimed releases – Churn, followed by Killjoy (gold), Shihad (gold), The General Electric (double platinum), Pacifier (double platinum), Pacifier Live (gold), Love Is The New Hate (Platinum) and 2008’s Beautiful Machine (gold).
Ignite features current radio singles ‘Sleepeater’ (which after 10 weeks is still sitting in the #1 position on the NZ Rock chart) ‘Lead or Follow’ and in addition to the standard CD, it is available as a numbered limited edition with a bonus track, and 4 remixes by The Naked and Famous, Optimus Gryme, Kiljoy and Concord Dawn.
Shihad 'Ignite' will be out on Monday 20 September.
