How do you like your eggs in the morning? Sunny side up, scrambled, or above all, free range and organic! Right, so how do you like your music? Much like your egg preference it's very much a matter of opinion. Some people still prefer buying albums rather than downloading, but others prefer getting those little teasers first, in the form of free mp3s, to introduce them to interesting new music they'd never have discovered otherwise.

NEWS: Should Arch Hill Go Free Range?

How do you like your eggs in the morning? Sunny side up, scrambled, or above all, free range and organic!

Right, so how do you like your music? Much like your egg preference it's very much a matter of opinion. Some people still prefer buying albums rather than downloading, but others prefer getting those little teasers first, in the form of free mp3s, to introduce them to interesting new music they'd never have discovered otherwise.

Arch Hill Records are currently pondering the question of whether they should go Free Range. They are trying to cater for that other breed of musician, the bedroom musician who's writing really great stuff, but don't necessarily want a career out of it.

As they put it: "Good music that should be heard, but isn't made by people with big career ambitions."

They're considering the possibility of releasing one free album once a month, under the title Arch Hill Free Range. This could be a compilation of artists or an album, and could come out as a series of releases.

What do you think of this idea? Visit the Arch Hill Recordings site to read the article and add your comments.
