NEWS: Slipknot To Tour North America in 2012; New Album Not On The Cards
Thursday , 01 Sep 2011
Shawn Crahan, also known as 'Clown' in metal band Slipknot, has confirmed rumors about the band potentially touring America in 2012.
In a post made on Facebook, Crahan stated,
“I also wanted to tell everyone straight from my mouth because you may have heard it already anyway, but Slipknot will be touring by next June in America only, but that does not mean things will not change, and as they do I will along with others tell you, our family, first.”
Crahan also announced that there are no immediate plans to release a new Slipknot album, stating “no album yet because it is too soon and there are no songs yet because the band needs to come together to write this next one. I cannot wait to feel the ideas like choking on color. Everything happens for a reason, so be ready.”
A new record would be the first since the death of bassist Paul Grey in 2010. Although the band toured Europe after Grey’s death and rumours were circulating of a possible new record, the band have now confirmed that there will be no record in the near future.
