NEWS: The Checks Release New Video For 'Candyman Shimmer'

The Checks are back with a new album, a new tour starting tomorrow and one of the most interesting local videos we've seen in ages for their new single 'Candyman Shimmer'. Watch the video below...it really is rather captivating.

The Checks third album Deadly Summer Sway  is out on Friday the 11th of November. Produced by multi-Grammy-winner Bassy Bob Brockman, Deadly Summer Sway sees the Auckland lads combine crisp warm tones of ribbon mics, The Who’s 1974 Neve mixing console and twenty four track tape with a hip hop producers digital swagger. Gone is the raw punk energy present in the bands earlier records and in its place is a more evolved sound made up of a colourful and intricate sonic weave. To celebrate the release of the new record, The Checks are heading out on the road for a 13 date tour across New Zealand starting this Friday with two shows in Wellington. Check out the dates below.
