Monday , 28 Feb 2011

British Indie rockers The Cribs are set to start work on their fifth studio album; the followup record to 2009's critically praised 'Ignore The Ignorant'.

The announcement was made via the bands official Twitter page, claiming that they will begin work on the new album after playing a number of festivals in the Northern Hemisphere's summer.

"Despite being on a break, The Cribs are not superhuman and still have to eat, therefore they will be playing a handful of summer festival shows,"
the tweet read, "...before heading into the studio to work on their fifth album."

‘Ignore The Ignorant’ was the band’s first album to feature former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr.
