Thursday , 25 Nov 2010

John Peel's favourite band The Fall are playing The Powerstation in Auckland on Monday 13th December. They are also set to play a gig in Tel Aviv, Israel on January 20th. The later performance has recently sparked controversy.

The band played a show at The Electric Ballroom in Camden, London on Tuesday night as protesters with banners gathered outside the venue, handing out leaflets urging the band to cancel their show in Israel.

Mark E Smith did not comment on the protest during the performance but cancelling their gig would indicate support towards to protest against the government’s treatment of Palestinians. A move made by Klaxons, Pixies, Elvis Costello and Faithless.
