NEWS: The Killers Will 'Definitely' Release A New Album In 2012

Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has revealed in a recent interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe, that the band who have been on a break since early 2010 have several songs already recorded and will "definitely" release a new album this year.

"There definitely will be a Killers record coming out in 2012, it's just whether it's in summer time or the winter time, that's up for debate. We're just kind of in the factory, working. We've written a lot of songs, but they aren't completely finished. I think the consensus within the band is to take those things that we've done well and really hone in on that...We don't want to make Hot Fuss 2 or Sam's Town 2, or Day & Age 2".

The singer confirmed one song title, adding: "There's one track called 'Battle Born', it's definitely a pillar of the record".

The Las Vegas natives last release, Day & Age, came out in 2008.
