NEWS: Makers Of Summer Heights High Return With Angry Boys
Thursday , 17 Mar 2011
I think we have found the most exciting news story of the week. ABC TV and HBO have announced a new 12-part, half-hour series called Angry Boys from multi-award winning writer and performer, Chris Lilley (Summer Heights High, We Can Be Heroes).
In the teaser clip released today, Lilley can be seen playing the several different characters from the new series. Among the charachters are twin brothers Daniel and Nathan Sims, who were first seen in Lilley’s first series We Can Be Heroes back in 2005. Lilley can also be seen playing Jen Okazaki, a Japanese wife and mother of three. Okazaki is described in todays press release as being "an ambitious tyrant" whose primary focus is her son Tim, ‘‘who she trained and pushed into becoming a skateboarding champion’’.
Like previous Lilley shows, which are shot in a documentary style, Angry Boys explores what it means to be a 21st century boy by putting the male of the species under the microscope.
No signs of Jonah Takalua at this stage but damn we are excited to see this show.
Are you excited about seeing Angry Boys?
