NEWS: Trailer for Arcade Fire/Spike Jonze Short Film

Arcade Fire and Spike Jonze have released the trailer for their new short film based on Arcade Fire's 'The Suburbs'.

The film, which is entitled 'Scenes From The Suburbs', is an extension to Jonze's music video for the title track from last year’s Grammy Award winning album, The Suburbs.

Described by front man Win Butler as being "like a science-fiction B-movie companion piece for the record", the film is set amongst an American suburb over run by a 1984-esque military presence. The 30 minute short is set to be released later this week as part of the South By Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas.

Front man Win Butler and manager Scott Rodger executive produced the film, with both Win and bandmate and brother Will Butler sharing scriptwriting duties with Jonze.

A release date is yet to be set, but the trailer states the movie is coming to DVD soon.
