NEWS: Travie McCoy Bites Back At Katy Perry Diss Song
Monday , 04 Oct 2010Travie McCoy has finally addressed his ex girlfriend Katy Perry's new song which speaks out about their past relationship and some of McCoy's old habits.
The song is titled 'Circle the Drain' and was featured on Perry's third studio album 'Teenage Dream' which debuted at number one on the US billboard 200 and peaked at number two on the New Zealand charts.
'Circle the Drain' shocked many fans with it's harsh lyrics, convincing some that maybe she had gone too far. On the track she fires off lyrics such as "Wanna be your lover/ Not your f**king mother," "You think you're so rock and roll, but you're really just a joke/ Had the world in the palm of your hands/ But you f**king choked" and "You fall asleep during foreplay/ 'Cause the pills you take are more your forte."
Until now neither Perry nor McCoy had addressed the song until now as McCoy spoke to MTV News about it. Although he hasn't actually listened to the song he did have some strong feelings towards it saying, "I heard she put out a song that's about me, or about some old habits or whatever, (And) I look at it like this: I'm just stoked that she finally has a song with some substance on her record. Good job."
