NEWS: Wellington Bowl-A-Rama Presents A Weeks Of Festivities

The best skaters in the world, competing in the finest bowl in New Zealand, set against the iconic Wellington harbour. This is BOWL-A-RAMA Wellington.

We’re throwing everything at it for BOWL-A-RAMA 2011 - legendary riders competing for the biggest prize money in the history of New Zealand skating, plus a week-long festival including art shows, video premiers, live music performances, giveaways and more.

BOWL-A-RAMA™ in conjunction with Oakley, Manual Magazine, Manky Chops Gallery and Te Papa present “The Skate of the Art” exhibition.

Forget canvas! Today’s hot, young artists are creating edgy artworks on their skateboards! You can imagine what results when a bunch of creatives are each given a blank skateboard deck and free rein.

• Friday 11th February at Te Papa Gallery, 55 Cable Street, Wellington

• Saturday 12th at Comp at Waitangi Park, official wrap party at Sandwiches

Sunday 13th is Rain Day and there will be a youth focused art show and competition all week.
