NEWS: James Blunt's New Album and Tour
Saturday , 18 Sep 2010

James Blunt’s brand new single, the insanely catchy “Stay The Night” is at New Zealand radio now. This is the first single to be taken from his third album, produced by Steve Robson “Some Kind Of Trouble”. The album sees the five times Grammy nominee start another chapter in his musical career with a fresh new approach and was recorded largely in London.
The single “Stay The Night” emphasizes this mood, a sexy acoustic-guitar driven party song about “singing ‘Billie Jean’, and mixing vodka with caffeine”. Written by Blunt, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder and Steve Robson.
"Before, I would write a song and we’d go and record it. This time, it was very much come in with nothing”, recalls Blunt. “There was that sense of energy, let’s have fun in the studio and make a racket. It was great fun and felt natural.”
“Some Kind Of Trouble” follows up the enormous global and local success of Blunt’s two previous albums, 2003’s “Back To Bedlam” (over 8 x Platinum in New Zealand) and 2007’s double platinum “All the Lost Souls” which between them sold a staggering 18 million copies worldwide.
Blunt plans to hit the road again in 2011 with his band that appears on the forthcoming album. Dates to be announced soon.
