The Naked And Famous have won New Zealand's most prestigious songwriting award - the APRA Silver Scroll - for their number one single Young Blood. The presentation was made at an awards ceremony tonight at Auckland's Town Hall, with hundreds of stars and music industry leaders present.

Now in its 45th year the APRA Silver Scroll Award is New Zealand’s pre‐eminent songwriting award; and as an event, it is a highlight on the nation’s music industry calendar, an evening of unique collaborations and performances. APRA have gone ahead and announced the shortlist for the 2010 Silver Scroll Award. Overall it's a decent line up of New Zealand's current songwriting talent.
