NEWS: First Lineup For CMJ Music Marathon Announced Brought to you by RIU
The first wave of artists for the annual music marathon that is New York City's CMJ Festival have been unveiled. The CMJ Music Marathon runs from October 19-23 at music venues accross Manhattan and Brooklyn, over 1,200 bands in total are expected to perform. Started in 1980, the CMJ Music Marathon serves to highlight the best of what's to come in music that dominates college radio. In the past, the festival has served as starting grounds for iconic acts such as U2, R.E.M. and Nirvana.

New Zealand will once again be representing at New York City's annual CMJ Music Marathon with a showcase of local talents. The NZ@CMJ Showcase is a collaboration between New Zealand music promotion agencies NZ On Air and the NZ Music Commission - with the goal being to assist Kiwi acts to break into the international arena.
