Friendly Fires
Friendly Fires are an English dance punk band from St Albans, Hertfordshire. They are currently signed to XL Recordings. Their self-titled debut album was released on 1 September 2008 and was announced as one of the shortlisted twelve for the 2009 Mercury Prize on 21 July 2009.

Friendly Fires are gearing to premiere a new song called 'Stay Here' on a forthcoming DJ mix by the three piece band. Guitarist Edd Gibson said of the track: "We'd been wanting to make a tribute to that New York house sound for a while. It's an interesting sideline for us to make a house track because we listen to a lot of house music."

English dance punk band Friendly Fires have announced the title of their second album. 'Pala' wll be released in the spring. Lead singer Ed Macfarlane announced the album name to NME and said that songs recorded by producers Paul Epworth and Andrew Weatherall are under consideration for inclusion.
