NEWS: Phil Selway of Radiohead Releases Solo Album Brought to you by RIU
Radiohead drummer Phil Selway is set to release his debut solo album later this year.'Familial' will be released on August 30. Selway began performing solo in 2001 as part of the '7 Worlds Collide' charity project. The album will feature other artists, including Singer/songwriter Lisa Germano, former Soul Coughing bassist Sebastian Steinberg, Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche and multi-instrumentalist Patrick Sansone who have all contributed.

A new Radiohead album by the end of 2010? Well, that's what guitarist Ed O'Brien is after. Speaking on 6 Music's Adam Buxton's Big Mixtape about the follow up to 2007's 'In Rainbows', O'Brien commented: “Ideally, it’d be great if it came out sometime this year. It’s got to. I hope so.” “We’re at the studio at the moment… we’re in the heart of the record." he said, adding “the finishing line… it’s in touching distance”. “I’m really excited… I feel like this is the best record we ever made. It really is genuinely exciting. It’s very different from what we did last time.”

Radiohead have compiled a DVD of their performance in Prague during last year's tour to promote their self released album In Rainbows. The DVD is compiled entirely of fan footage and the here's the best bit, it's available for free! You can download the entire DVD from this website and burn it to a disc. How about that for a slice of user generated content. Alternatively, you can watch bits of the DVD on Youtube, if you don't want to max out your internet limit.
NEWS: Radiohead Gear Up To Release 8th Studio Album Brought to you by RIU
Radiohead are gearing up to release their 8th studio album. The 25 year old band have finished another group of songs and are still considering how to publish them. In an essay for Index On Censorship, bassist Colin Greenwood also explained that the band are thinking about how they will release them. "We have just finished another group of songs," he wrote. "And have begun to wonder about how to release them in a digital landscape that has changed again."

English rockers Radiohead have supposidly finished recording songs for their 8th studio release, although band members have expressed that they might not release it just yet. In an interview with the Candian Press, drummer Phil Selway said the band will return to the studio early next week to "take stock" of their new material - and possibly "throw it all out." "Maybe we need to go back to the drawing board," he confessed. "It's all up in the air at the moment."

The band have begun taking pre-orders for ‘The King Of Limbs’ exclusively from their website, www.radiohead.com ; fans will be able to digitally download the album from as early as the end of this week, Saturday Feb 19th. For the next few weeks the ‘The King Of Limbs’ will be exclusively available from the band’s site in two versions - digital download (either MP3 or WAV) and a made to order, ‘deluxe edition’ which comprises 2 clear 10” vinyl records, a CD, a digital download and exclusive artwork all in a special “newspaper” format.

Radiohead are keeping fans guessing as to their next move by tweeted details of a mysterious time and location in Tokyo ahead of the release of their new album on Saturday. The band posted the message in Japanese on their official Twitter page. The message reads "渋谷 ハチ公広場 金曜日 18時59分". A rough translation of this is "Hachiko Square Shibuya, 59 minutes at 18 Friday". The square is one of the notoriously busy 'pedestrian roads' in Tokyo.
NEWS: Radiohead Have Released The King Of Limbs For Download Brought to you by RIU
Following news of a mystery broadcast from Hachiko Square in the Shibuya district of Tokyo, Japan; Radiohead have canceled the broadcast due to security fears. Thousands of fans traveled to the square in the hope of an appearance by the band despite an official announcement that Radiohead would not be there in person, made earlier last week. Radiohead made their new album The King Of Limbs available for download on Friday (18 February 2011), a day earlier than they originally stated. The band have also released a music video for album track 'Lotus Flower' that you can watch below. It features some extravagant dance moves from front man Thom Yorke.

NEWS: Thom Yorke Debuts Two New Songs From Atoms Of Peace Brought to you by RIU
Thom Yorke has debuted a couple of new songs from his new super group Atoms For Peace during a DJ set with producer Nigel Godrich at an LA club over the weekend.

The duo, who are joined in Atoms For Peace alongside Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist Flea, Joey Waronker and Mauro Refosco, played the unreleased tracks during their set at Transmission LA: AV Club, a free 17-day music festival series at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.

It is unknown if the new songs will be featured on the bands upcoming debut LP, which is rumored to be released later in the year. Listen to the two new tracks below.

A concert in Toronto, Canada in the weekend by the British rockers Radiohead was called off after the roof of an outdoor stage collapsed during sound checks and rehearsals, killing Radiohead drum technician Scott Johnson and injuring three others.
NEWS: Radiohead are preparing to record a new album Brought to you by RIU
The 'Lotus Flower' band will regroup at the end of the summer to start work on their first new tracks since 2011. Bass player Colin Greenwood told BBC Radio 6 Music: "We're taking some time out whilst people are doing some other stuff, doing their own things, and the plan is to get back together again [at the] end of the summer."
