Russell Edward Brand (born 4 June 1975) is an English comedian, actor, columnist, author and presenter of radio and television. Brand achieved fame in the UK for presenting a Big Brother spin-off, Big Brother's Big Mouth, and for his radio show, among other television series and award ceremonies. He has also appeared in a number of films, including the romantic comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall, St Trinian's, Get Him to the Greek, and most recently, Despicable Me. He is noted for various controversies that have surrounded him in the British media, such as the 2008 prank calls that led to his resignation from the BBC. He is engaged to Katy Perry.

Have you always been wearing heels? I’m obsessed with wearing heels, I think it’s because the elevation, like the Tower of Babel reaching skyward, challenging the gods. Why do Get Him To The Greek? The reason I did this movie is because I really enjoyed working with Jonah and Nick Stoller, also as a calculated career move. It made sense to be in films as opposed to not being in them, which was the other alternative.
