TrinityRoots (1998-2005) were a successful band based in Wellington, New Zealand. Although they fit within New Zealand reggae they also embodied a stripped back, jazz and soul influenced rhythmic sound, which would often build up to highly emotional drum and guitar led crescendos.

The film is a documentary which captures the journey of the Wellington band TrinityRoots over a tirade of events, from band rehearsals, touring, recording, performing right to the end where the band decided to call it quits in 2005. The film also draws on generous footage that reveals compelling interviews with friends, family, critics and other musicians alike. The 70 minute documentary Trinity Roots: Music is choice, has screened in Auckland this week and will follow on to Wellington and Christchurch.
